The Canadian Dental Care Plan (RCSD)
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (RCSD), established by the Government of Canada, began in May 2024 and is being progressively implemented. Ultimately, more than 2.5 million Quebecers will be able to benefit from it.

The RCSD reimburses a percentage of the cost, based on the fees established by the RCSD and your adjusted net family income. You may have additional costs if:
Your adjusted net family income is between $70,000 and $89,999
The cost of services exceeds the fees established by the RCSD
You and your provider agree to services not covered by the RCSD
Co-payments: A co-payment is the percentage of the RCSD fees not covered by the plan — you pay it directly to the provider. Your co-payment is based on your adjusted net family income.
When recommended by an oral health professional, the RCSD may cover:
Preventive: Scaling, sealants, fluoride
Diagnostic: Exams and X-rays
Restorative: Fillings
Endodontic: Root canal treatments
Prosthetic: Complete and removable partial dentures
Periodontal: Deep scaling
Oral Surgery: Extractions
Certain services require pre-authorization (available since November 2024).
